12/7/2002 4:34:34 PM Hi Mark, I really enjoyed going through the class of 1985 page. It's extremely interesting and well-done. Christianne Magalhães is married to my husband's brother so we're relatives now. She let me know about the page and I wanted to let you know how cool I thought it was and also to tell you some news about Mark...He got married on January 6 to Regina, a very tall(1,82) very nice, blond dutch girl!!! They are very happy and living in Castro,Paraná. He's still working at the family farm and (unlike myself) enjoys the calm, laid-back life. Congratulations to you and Michael on the very interesting page!!!! Mary Ann Harvey Magalhães (Mark Harvey's sister) |

12/7/2002 4:33:40 PM Oi Gente! Just wanted to end the year wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah and a wonderful New Year! Our site has grown by leaps and bounds this past year. Slowly but surely our old classmates are finding their way to the site. Recently we have added the following classmates to the site roster: Diana Fernandez, Delly Whittenberg, Jessica Castro, Cristianne Piereck de Sá, Marcelo Costa, David Cortes, Stephen Griffith, James MacNamee, Lee Ann Sendra, Marcelo Carvalho, Gloria Barahona & Fiona MacGregor. And this is only in the last few months! For those of you who haven't been to the site in a while, we already have 40 (!) people registered on the site, over 450 pictures (and LOTS more coming soon), a full featured guestbook/forum for you to leave messages or start discussions and we have lots of new stuff planned for the coming year. Check it out and, while you're there, fill out and submit the member JOIN form if you haven't done so already. OK, that's it for now. Enjoy the Holidays!! Um abraço, Mark |

12/7/2002 4:32:55 PM Mark: It was soo good to hear from you. I received your first message about an hour before I was leaving for a business trip. Needless to say, by the time I returned I was swamped with work on my desk. Then I received your 2nd email and almost died that I had forgotten to write you back. It was great hearing from you. I've tried over the years to find people in our class but have been unsuccessful. Well, my story goes like this............ After high school I went to College at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY for Architectural History. My family moved to Buenos Aires where they lived and I returned to until 1997. I returned to Rio every time to stay with family friends and visit my friends whenever I could. I graduated from Marist College and moved to Florida where I attended Graduate School at the University of Florida. I moved to Italy for a year and finished my graduate dissertation and met my husband, Dan. He was in Italy finishing his last year for Landscape Architecture. I received my Master of Architecture in 1995. We returned to Florida and decided to find jobs in Charlotte, North Carolina. We have been here since 1995. So far we are enjoying it here, but I would like us to relocate back to Brasil. If not now, then sometime in the future. I am still experiencing culture shock here and a lot of nostalgia. Especially when the people around you, that grew up here with each other, are going to their 10 year high school reunions.............. On another note..............a happy one............Dan and I are pregnant and expecting the arrival of our first child the end of April. We are very excited. How about you? Tell me about your family. I am so glad you were able to get in touch with me. When I logged on to Classmates.com of course they wanted a fee to get additional information. And by the way who the heck are those other people who said they graduated with us???? We only had 36 - 39 people we graduated with and I am pretty certain they were not amongst them. Or am I forgetting............we never got our Year Books... Anyway. Let me know more about you and stuff. Abraços, Lee Ann |

12/7/2002 4:30:38 PM Hello Mark! Good to hear from you and thanks for replying so quickly! I'll have to give you a more detailed description of my life since EA later, but in a nutshell, I moved to Berlin, got an aeronautical engineering degree, moved to the UK, got a PhD and also got married, and after two years in Germany we migrated to NZ, where I've been with Air NZ for three years now. I heard about the website from my brother Till, he spent a few years in New York but is currently in London getting an MBA. He emailed me a few days ago saying that my picture was on the internet and I should go and check out the site...That's fantastic! How long has the website been up? After posting my info I went home and dug out the old negatives from our yearbook photos. I was the photographer, remember? I am pleased to say I still have quite a few, including a number of the formals. Over the next few days I'll see if I can get some prints made, which I'll scan and forward to you. I haven't determined yet how many of our class I still have... Anyway, better go and do some work, but more detailed information will follow later. Brgds, Frank |

12/7/2002 4:29:48 PM Ola James. I think I remember you. Did we once get in a fight (5th grade or 6th) and we sort of fell over and broke the glass part of those clever chalkboard/doors that open up to the balcony? Was that you? I think we started being friends once we got in trouble for that. HAHAHA!!! I hope I'm remembering the right guy! Man! this was like a quarter of a century ago! |

I remember going to his house and spending the weekend there playing with action figures. His parents were really nice too. They would take us to the beach, movies, and to some lanchonetes to pig out. I think I went to see "King Kong" with him and his family. He was such a fun kid. I still think of him quite often. When I was at my parents' the last time, I found some old pictures of us. I guess we must have know each other in elementary school? I was a pretty chubby kid with lots of freckels. |

Eu nao sei quem lembra de mim, mais eu lembro do Carlao e do Fernando. Obrigado pelas fotos do Daniel. James McNamee, Ottawa, Canada |

12/7/2002 4:20:51 PM Querido Ricardo, Fiquei sabendo que foi 'papai'e não podia deixar de te dar PARABÉNS!!!!Filhos são tudo de bom na vida da gente.By the way,eu sou a Christianne Piereck, que estudei com você no EA,lembra? Beijos, Chris |

12/7/2002 4:16:18 PM Hey I visited the new site and really enjoyed the some of the changes that were made. The sub categories have helped make the site a bit more user friendly. Unfortunately, the new address has been blocked by my IT department, it triggers some sort of anti porn shields. Anyway I have them working on lifting the block. I have some pictures and seeing that you are in NY, we should meet one of these days. Michael Florez |
